Matt Donnelly Senior Film Writer Hollywood’s Egyptian Theatre will host a special screening series to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the podcast “You Must Remember This,” created and hosted by Karina Longworth. Longworth has now spent a decade examining the untold histories of show business — including watercooler seasons spent revisiting the Manson murders, the Star Wars franchise and the life and career of Joan Crawford. The Egyptian, owned by Netflix, has curated a three-day screening series featuring the films of Hollywood bombshell Kim Novak.Novak was the subject of the “lost” and first-ever recorded episode of “You Must Remember This.” Longworth has previously said a corrupted audio file and “large swaths” of copyrighted music led to the shelving of the episode, which will finally be released [Editor’s note: In the TV series that launched and catapulted Ryan Murphy to stardom, “Popular,” a fictional girl’s room at a Southern California high school was named for Novak after a donation from the star.

Caroline Brew editor FX has released the first teaser for Ryan Murphy‘s upcoming series “Feud: Capote vs. the Swans.” The second season of Murphy’s anthology series chronicles the literary scandal that sparked a fallout between writer Truman Capote and a high-society group of women, known as his “Swans.” Tom Hollander portrays Truman Capote, the “In Cold Blood” and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” author who betrayed his close circle of powerful women by publishing a story titled “La Côte Basque, 1965” in Esquire. The “Swans” include Babe Paley (Naomi Watts), C.Z.

Joan Evans, an actress who was the goddaughter of Joan Crawford, died Oct. 21 in Henderson, Nevada, according to her son, John Weatherly. No cause was given.

Robert De Niro attended the funeral for his grandson Leandro De Niro Rodriguez on Friday, five days after the 19-year-old tragically died in New York City. McKinley Franklin author David Finfer, the Academy Award-nominated film editor of “The Fugitive,” died on Monday following complications that resulted from a heart attack. He was 80. Finfer was nominated for the Oscar as well as the American Cinema Editors and BAFTA awards for editing the 1993 film “The Fugitive,” which starred Harrison Ford. He worked with Albert Brooks on several movies including “Real Life,” “”Lost in America,” “Modern Romance” and “Defending Your Life.” Finfer’s career as a film editor took off with his first feature credit on “Ya Gotta Walk it like You Talk it or You’ll Lose that Beat.” He continued to work on a number of comedy and teen/family movies including “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey,” “Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion,” “Snow Day,” “Waiting…” and “The Tooth Fairy.”

Award-winning movie and stage actor and gay icon, Angela Lansbury, has passed away at the age of 96, five days before her 97th birthday. She is best known for playing crime-solving mystery writer Jessica Fletcher in the crime mystery series Murder, She Wrote, for which she received 11 Emmy nominations.Lansbury also starred in numerous films such as The Portrait of Dorian Gray and The Manchurian Candidate, winning Golden Globes for both. In 1971 she starred in Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks endearing herself to a generation of children. Lansbury’s breakout role came at the age of 19 when she acted in the psychological thriller, Gaslight, for which she received her first Oscar nomination.She made her Broadway debut in 1957 and over the course of her stage career was awarded five Tony Awards for roles in such plays as Mame and Blithe Spirit.  In 1945, Lansbury married actor Richard Cromwell. Selome Hailu Molly Ringwald has joined the cast of “Feud” Season 2, Variety has learned. According to sources, she will play Joanne Carson, the second wife of Johnny Carson. Reps for FX and 20th Television declined to comment. Season 2 of Ryan Murphy’s anthology series on FX follows the true story of how Truman Capote (Tom Hollander) was friends with numerous members of New York high society until he published excerpts of his unfinished novel “Answered Prayers,” with the excerpts serving as a tell-all about the city’s elite. Carson, however, remained close with Capote until his death in 1984.

Ryan Murphy’s anthology series,, is reportedly returning to FX with an all-new installment starring Naomi Watts, ET has confirmed. The second season, which follows 2017’s , will be called and focus on the falling out between author Truman Capote and several of his female friends. The eight-part season will be adapted from Laurence Leamer’s  by showrunner Joan Robin Baitz and directed by Gus Van Sant. Watts, who most recently portrayed Gretchen Carlson in Showtime’s, will star as Babe Paley, a New York City socialite who kept a circle of high-society friends that included Slim Keith.
