Even as far as Scottish summers go, warm days have been few and far between this year - but we could soon be treated to temperatures in the 20s.Rain, wind and clouds have defined the season so far.
A 'danger to life' rain warning is in place from late Tuesday through the entirety of Wednesday for much of northwest Scotland.However, weather maps show there could be a change next week.
Scots can look forward to temperatures as hot as 23C on Friday July 19. The data from WXCharts shows a warm weather front coming from Europe that could dispel the chilly weather for a time.The best temperatures could be in Aberdeenshire where the mercury could hit 23C.
Elsewhere in the east coast and central belt, temperatures are predicted to be a pleasant 20C.The Met Office long range forecast for next week indicates more sun and warmer weather.
