An increasing number of Manchester City supporters believe the club should ditch its interest in signing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice after Arsenal reportedly lodged another big-money bid.

According to a report by The Athletic, the Gunners tabled a jaw-dropping offer worth £105million on Tuesday evening. The Londoners have offered to pay the Hammers £100m up-front and an additional £5m in add-ons.

Arsenal have identified Rice as their top target in this summer's window and are intent on adding him to their pool of midfielders.

Should they be successful with their latest offer, it will be a Premier League record fee for a British player. City, who officially wrapped up the signing of Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea on Tuesday, saw a £90m bid of their own turned down for Rice earlier this week.
