Shocking footage shows person feeding Buckfast to horses at Scots farm

Shocking footage has been captured of a person feeding Buckfast to horses at a Scots farm and family heritage centre.The incident took place at around 9pm on Monday, July 24, at Almond Valley Heritage Centre near Livingston while it was closed.The centre has slammed the individual behind the callous act but it is unclear if they have involved police.

The park explained that the incident took place on a public footpath through the bottom part of the site around the horse paddocks.

They wrote on social media: "This is not OK!! We have received an influx of messages tonight of someone giving Buckfast to one of our horses to drink. "Completely irresponsible, this could cause serious issues to our gentle giants."They added: "We do not allow people to feed our horses, or let them drink Buckfast for a reason, that reason being it could make them terribly ill."*edit - This is on a public footpath through the bottom part of our site around our horse paddocks, this was this evening, not during the day."Hundreds of locals were shocked by the post and couldn't believe anyone would be so irresponsible.Hazel McDonald said: "Seems like you guys might be needing some help to protect your property at night."At least something to initially start deterring these kids who think they can just wander in.

I wouldn't mind volunteering to help if I can to make sure no one's coming in past hours and vandalising and potentially harming animals."Layla Muir said: "I would name & shame if they think they're funny thinking this is acceptable they should take the consequences and send a vet bill for the cost of looking after these beautiful horses., then maybe they won't find it funny then."Laura Anderson added: "This is absolutely shocking!!
