Race against time to find a home for 'loveable' and 'bouncy' XL Bully dogs before Christmas
manchestereveningnews.co.ukDogs home staff are desperately searching for homes for two XL bully dogs. Six-year-old Roxy and three-year-old Roy are the last two XL Bullies at the Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home.
From the 31st December, it will become illegal to breed, giveaway or sell the breed and, under the new rule, owners will also not be allowed to let them stray or have an XL Bully in public without a lead or muzzle.
The rules come after complaints from the public following a series of high profile dog attacks in the country with XL Bully dogs being involved at a disproportionate amount.
Dogs home representative Anthony Bilson, 48, says the tight deadline for the new rule change has made things difficult for staff trying to rehouse dogs like Roxy and Roy.
