Kylie Jenner took to Instagram earlier this week to show off a major hair makeover, ditching her silky black lock in favour of a candyfloss shade of pink, and her followers have gone absolutely wild for the transformation. “IS KING KYLIE BACK????” said one, whilst someone else added: “King Kylie returning is proof the earth is in fact healing.” The King Kylie moniker refers to the beauty mogul’s 2015 alter ego when she was known for switching her hair colour up on a whim, with everything from blue ombre tips to a rose gold bob making an appearance on her social media.

With the return of her bubblegum bob, Kylie has sent searches for pink hair dye skyrocketing, with the term searched for 1443% more in the hours following her major transformation according to experts at beauty and wellness marketplace Fresha.

This major increase tells us only one thing – pink hair is back, and it’s the colour of the year.The perfect antithesis to the quiet luxury trend that’s had us all in a chokehold for the last few seasons, it looks like it won’t be long before we’re ditching our natural-looking highlights in favour of a vibrant candyfloss hue.
