Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress. Prince Harry
Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, KCVO ADC (Henry Charles Albert David;15 September 1984) is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales and is sixth in the line of succession to the British throne. Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face lonely Christmas with 'plans to win Charles over'

The Royal Family will be gathering in Sandringham to celebrate Christmas together, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle won't be joining in on the fun.On Christmas Eve, the royals will exchange gifts before heading to church the next day, and then partaking in a traditional festive lunch ahead of King Charles' broadcast to the nation, reports the Mirror.The guestlist has grown even more this year, with Queen Camilla's children invited for the first time - but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be attending.

It is expected that the couple will spend their Christmas with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in California, thousands of miles away from the Royal Family.It has actually been five years since the couple spent the festive season in the UK.

Back in 2018, the pair were seen putting on a united front as they walked to church with the Prince and Princess of Wales.Rumours had begun to spread about the building tension between the couples, but it looked all rosy during the Christmas Day walk.

Just one year on, though, things looked very different for the royals.Despite still being working royals, Harry and Meghan - along with son Archie - opted to spend Christmas in Canada after they had reached breaking point with the rest of the family.Just weeks after, they shocked the globe by stepping down as working royals and moving to the States - where they've spent each year since.It was hinted recently that the tensions between King Charles and his son, Harry, were beginning to thaw out, as they spoke on the phone during Charles' 75th birthday last month.
