Police release CCTV images of man after reckless incident at Celtic Champions League clash

Police have released CCTV images of a man after an incident of culpable and reckless behaviour at the Celtic and Lazio Champions League clash.

Officers say the incident happened during the fixture at Celtic Park in Glasgow on Wednesday, October, 4 and relates to the use of pyrotechnic devices within the stadium.Police urge the man, or anyone who has information relating to the incident, to contact them.The man in the images is described as white, in his mid-30s, with short dark brown hair.He was wearing a black t-shirt with the word ‘Blakely’ written on the front.

Constable Aynsley McIntyre, of the Greater Glasgow Football Enquiry Unit, said: “I would urge this man or anyone who has information relating to this incident to make contact with the police. “Members of the public can contact Police Scotland via the 101 non-emergency telephone number, quoting incident number 2247 of Wednesday, 4 October, 2023, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
