Police are appealing for information after a pensioner had her handbag snatched during a mugging in Bury. The 85-year-old was dragged to the ground during the street robbery in Whitefield.

It took place on Dalton Avenue at 4.25pm on Thursday, February 9. The suspect is described as a white male, aged 40s, 5ft 6ins, wearing a navy coat, woolly hat and backpack. If anyone has any CCTV/dashcam footage... come forward." Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 8172 quoting crime number 2600-090223 and PC 14118 Molyneux.
