Nigel Farage has been condemned for his response to the Southport stabbings - with the Reform MP accused of 'whipping up' rioters.

After the brutal knife attack at a children's dance event on Monday, which left three little girls dead and five other children and two adults in a critical condition, the Reform UK leader shared a video on social media responding to the attack.

He said 'truth is being withheld from us' as he questioned why the incident had not been treated as terror-related. He also questioned whether the suspect, who is 17 and has not been identified, was being monitored by the security services.

Former MP Tobias Ellwood said this video 'ramped up hatred' online. READ NEXT: Devastated parents are 'not speaking, only crying' after little girl, 9, killed in Southport stabbing Replying to Mr Farage's video, Mr Ellwood wrote on X: "I lost my brother to terrorism.
