Mumford & Sons have been announced as the final headline act for this summer’s Victorious Festival.The event is due to take place on the Southsea seafront in Portsmouth between August 25-27.

Jamiroquai and Kasabian will top the bill on the Friday and Saturday evenings, respectively.Other performers across the weekend include Alt-J, Johnny Marr, Pale Waves, Blossoms, Friendly Fires, Sigrid, Belle & Sebastian, Annie Mac, The Coral, Kate Nash and The Vaccines.Today (March 7), organisers confirmed that Mumford & Sons will close out the festival’s main stage with a UK exclusive show on Sunday, August 27.Andy Marsh, Lead Booker at Victorious, said: “Mumford & Sons strike the perfect balance with the rest of our bookings and the show is going to make for a fantastic finale.

Victorious 2023 is going to be huge and we are honoured that the band will be bringing their only UK show this year to Southsea.

Dawson died in hospice in West Hills on March 6 due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. His work in the industry spanned many facets, from child actor and wardrobe supervisor to script writer and producer. In his last television series, “Walker, Texas Ranger” starring Chuck Norris, Dawson worked as a writer, supervising producer and co-executive producer, writing 32 of the series episodes.

The original action-adventure animated series follows Kiya, a seven-year-old African girl, whose passions in life are dancing and martial arts, which also become her superpowers. Set in the southern Africa-inspired Kimoja City, each 11-minute episode focuses on themes of community, empathy and unity and features African and Asian-lead characters. When Allen isn’t working on “Grey’s Anatomy,” she’s leading her dance academy and middle school — both of which are based in Los Angeles. She offers a slew of programming aimed at educating kids (some of whom are as young as 3 years old) in academics and the arts. Her academy’s “Hot Chocolate Nutcracker” has become a popular holiday staple. Courteeners, English Teacher and Louis Tomlinson were among the acts to be honoured at the first-ever Northern Music Awards.The inaugural ceremony – hosted by the UK’s largest music therapy charity, Nordoff And Robbins – took place at the Albert Hall in Manchester last night (April 23) to celebrate northern artists, festivals, venues and industry figures.Presented by BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Chris Hawkins, the event featured live performances from Courteeners frontman Liam Fray, as well as English Teacher, Lisa Stansfield, The K’s and more.Guest presenters from the region included former Manchester United footballer Gary Neville, New Order‘s Gillian Gilbert and Stephen Norris, and Grimsby-born actor Thomas Turgoose (This Is England). ‌ Neville awarded Courteeners with the Band Of The Year prize.
