Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has revealed how much money Disney has made from Star Wars.According to the financial breakdown, the company has made approximately $12billion from the sci-fi franchise, almost three times the amount Disney bought it for ($4.05billion) in 2012.This comes on the back of the latest Star Wars trilogy – The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise Of Skywalker – as well as five Disney+ series, including The Mandalorian, The Book Of Boba Fett, Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka.Despite widespread criticism of the new films and TV shows, the franchise has still proven to be extremely profitable, with merchandise and theme park attractions largely contributing to the huge revenue.However, even with the $12billion intake, Star Wars is still not the most profitable intellectual property for Disney.

After years of waiting, “Star Wars” actor Ewan McGregor was able to finally explore his lone wolf Jedi Masters character in the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Disney+ series prequel. Initially envisioned as three films, Lucasfilm eventually pivoted towards a series in 2018, and some of the longer, darker ideas were scrapped.

The pair shared sex scenes in the programme, for which McGregor said it was “still necessary” to have an intimacy coordinator.Speaking with Radio Times (via CNN), the Moulin Rouge star said: “It’s still necessary, because it’s also about the crew, and it’s odd to be naked in front of people, it’s odd to be intimate in front of the camera.”He added: “If you were doing a dance scene, you’d have a choreographer.”Continuing to explain the importance of an intimacy coordinator, whose job it is to guide and support the actors during intimate scenes, for example simulated sex, McGregor said: “It’s an important part of the work now, because it’s somebody that the director and actors meet in the middle.”He elaborated on the sensitive topic surrounding intimate scenes in films, citing his 22-year-old daughter Esther, who is known for her roles in Obi-Wan Kenobi and High School.
