Kakao inks deal with Columbia Record for IVE’s North American debut

Kakao, has announced a new partnership with American label Columbia Records.Through the deal, Kakao Entertainment aims to expand its presence in the North American market, starting with IVE‘s upcoming debut studio album ‘I’ve IVE’ and the pre-release song ‘Kitsch’. Columbia Records is set to help with the distribution, marketing and promotion of the record and its singles.“This partnership aims to expand Kakao Entertainment’s music distribution network and elevate its position in the global market by leveraging Columbia Records’ unparalleled expertise in the North American music business,” Kakao said in its statement, per Variety.In South Korean, IVE are signed to K-pop agency Starship Entertainment, which is owned by Kakao Entertainment.

SM Entertainment has announced plans to begin a talent search for the formation of an upcoming UK-based boyband, in partnership with production company Moon&Back.SM Entertainment – home to top K-pop acts such as aespa, Red Velvet, Girls’ Generation and more – announced its partnership with UK-based television production company Moon&Back yesterday (November 15). In the newly announced partnership, both companies revealed an upcoming television project in the works to create and debut a brand-new British boyband to global television audiences.Slated to be filmed over the course of six months, the upcoming television series will follow a fresh-faced boy group as they depart London some time in early 2024 “on the adventure of a lifetime”, according to a press release.

SM Entertainment’s new boyband RIIZE debut with ‘Get A Guitar’

RIIZE have made their debut with their new single ‘Get A Guitar’.RIIZE are a seven-member group from SM Entertainment, featuring former NCT members Shotaro and Sungchan. Columbia Records, Kakao Entertainment America Partner on K-Pop Group IVE

Tamar Herman Kakao Entertainment America and Columbia Records have partnered to co-manage K-pop girl group IVE, it was announced on Thursday (March 23). The collaboration is expected to boost IVE’s presence in the North American market, with Columbia, a subsidiary of Sony Music, supporting their upcoming album, “I’ve IVE,” due out April 10. Columbia will assist with global music distribution, local marketing, and promoting the album, which will begin with the pre-album release of the single “Kitsch,” dropping March 27th. IVE is produced by Kakao Entertainment subsidiary, Starship Entertainment.
