Manchester United are reportedly 'monitoring' Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar ahead of a potential summer move. The Brazilian's future in France is said to be unclear, with his current club thought to be keen to offload his monumental wages.

And Foot Mercato has now claimed that, should United's Qatari takeover prove successful, the Old Trafford side could make Neymar a marquee summer signing.

The report adds that United have 'been keeping an eye on him for several months' and made inquiries into his availability at the start of the year.

United are not the only Premier League outfit credited with an interest in Neymar, however, with Chelsea's new owners also reportedly having met with the player's representatives in February, per ESPN.
