Manchester United could still be haunted by what could have been after seeing Harry Kane complete his move to Bayern Munich Erik ten Hag’s side have acted decisively in the transfer market as the club gear up for what they hope will be another successful campaign.

Instead, United turned to Rasmus Hojlund in a £72million deal, with the club placing faith in the Dane for the long-term. The Reds are alongside the likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the second pot. But Bayern and Kane will be in pot one, meaning they could still be pitted against one another in a bid to go deep into Europe.
