Scots victims of depraved foster parents demand answers over decades of abuse

Sandra and Andrew Harper, both 63, physically and emotionally abused five children at their Cairnbulg home in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, under the noses of social workers and took in dozens of youngsters during their career.
The majority of the abuse, carried out between 1985 and 2002, was inflicted by Sandra Harper – who forced one child to eat their own vomit and poured soap into their mouth.
Victims of the pair, who are now all adults, spoke to the Record after they were finally brought to justice. One man, who spent almost his entire childhood with the couple, said: “It was sickening when I saw them again in court.
