Man jailed after he picked on the wrong house to burgle
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ thug was detained by a man whose flat he had broken into - soon after he had beaten up a landlord in a separate attack.
Daniel Walker had been drinking at the George and Dragon pub in Hazel Grove, Stockport, when he became disruptive. The landlord ejected him, but was immediately attacked by Walker.
He pushed, kicked and punched him, causing a cut to his eyelid, Minshull Street Crown Court heard. The landlord was left shaken and said in a statement that he should expect to run his business without such attacks. Walker, 34, had a warrant outstanding for his arrest when he broke into a man’s flat in Stockport. Whilst inside, he pilfered a number of items including jewellery, during which he woke up the man.
