A man has been charged with attempted murder in Salford following an 18-month investigation. Shannon Meaney, of no fixed address, has been charged by Greater Manchester Police today (August 9).
It follows an alleged incident at Clarendon Park, in Pendleton, on Tuesday, February 14 last year. GMP says its officers were called out to reports of concern for the welfare of a man in the Clarendon Park at the time.
The force says a man was taken to hospital with 'life-changing injuries' following the call-out. He has remained in hospital since that date, GMP adds.
