Man charged after investigation into spate of thefts in student hotspots

A man has been charged after an investigation into a spate of thefts in student hotspots in Manchester. Greater Manchester Police launched a probe following the spate of thefts reported in the Fallowfield and university areas of the city.

The thefts were reported between July 29 and August 14, officers said. Adekunle Adebusuyi, of Deyne Avenue, Rusholme, has now been charged in connection with the investigation.

In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "A man has been charged in connection with an investigation into thefts reported in the Fallowfield and University areas of the city between 29 July and 14 August. "Adekunle Adebusuyi, of Deyne Avenue, Rusholme, has been charged with six counts of theft from person and one count of theft of a pedal cycle.
