Lanarkshire soldier will play a part in the coronation of King Charles III

A Lanarkshire soldier will be playing a role of note at this Saturday’s historic coronation pageant.Lance Corporal Ryan Steele will play the bagpipes as part of a 100-strong band of military musicians who have spent the past six weeks learning and rehearsing new music for the occasion.The 29-year-old, an assault pioneer in the Royal Regiment of Scotland, also played at the Queen’s funeral last September and is now set to be part of another landmark event.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
