Scots killer who hid mum and daughter's bodies under kitchen floor loses appeal bid

A man who murdered a mum and daughter before burying their bodies under his kitchen floor has lost a bid to appeal against his conviction and sentence.Andrew Innes, 52, stabbed and beat Bennylyn Burke, 25, to death with a hammer before strangling Jellica, two, at his home in Dundee.

He lured Bennylyn from Bristol to Dundee after targeting her through a dating website in 2021. At the High Court in Edinburgh in February, Innes was ordered to serve at least 36 years before he can apply for parole.
