King Charles has banned a food that was famously loved by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, from all residences he will be visiting during his three-day visit to France with Camilla today.Charles' first state visit to France as the monarch was originally scheduled to take place in March but had to be postponed due to pension reform protests.The King is flying out to Paris today and will spend two days there before heading to Bordeaux for his final day.The late Queen Elizabeth's last visit to France was in 2014 but this time around her eldest son will change one thing according to a senior official, the Express reports.Laurent Stefanini, who is the former head of protocol of the French Republic and managed the late monarch's visit to Paris in 2014, said Her Majesty used to enjoy foie gras with truffles, but Charles will have it banned from all residences during his visit.Stefanini explained that the late Queen "was very fond of a very good foie gras with truffles, which she remembered from her first state visit in 1957."He recalled: "We felt somewhat obliged, as a sort of gastronomic symbol, to serve her some."The highlight of the state visit will take place tonight at the Château de Versailles, where a glittering state banquet will take place.Stefanini said the banquet will be attended by members of the French government and "also some of the constituted bodies, often the grand chancellor of the Legion of Honour, the perpetual secretary of the Académie française".Businessmen, people from the cultural scene and "people whom the Franco-British bilateral relationship means a great deal for" will also be in attendance.On the same day, the monarch will also visit the Arc de Triomphe as well as meet with President Macron.Tomor
