The Green Brigade have accused the Celtic board of "hypocrisy" after a club statement condemned their message in support of Palestine and warned they won't be dictated to.
A banner unveiled during Saturday's Premiership match with Kilmarnock read "Free Palestine. Victory to the Resistance." The show of support came on the weekend Hamas, deemed as a terrorist group by some Western countries of which one is the UK, attacked Israel from occupied Gaza, killing hundreds of civilians.
The club have hit out at the Green Brigade and insisted they should not "use Celtic Park as a vehicle for such messages." It also drew a furious response from Israeli and former player Nir Bitton on social media. Now the section - who have shown support for Palestine in the past - have hit back and slammed the board, urging fans to fly the Palestine flag in an upcoming Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid in Glasgow's east-end.
It reads: "Following a recent Celtic PLC statement, we would like to reiterate our unshakeable belief that we, and other football supporters, have the right to express political views on the terraces, just as ordinary citizens do elsewhere in society.
