ITV Emmerdale fans screaming at their TVs over Nicky 'slip-up' as they spot 'blatant' twist

Emmerdale fans were quick to clock a 'slip-up' as Nicky tried to impress the mother-in-laws. The nanny has lost his job at Home Farm after he revealed his relationship with Gabby Thomas, whose son he has been employed to look after.

The character, played by Lewis Cope, made his first appearance in the Dales back in December. And after initially refusing Gabby's advances due to his professionalism, viewers of the ITV soap recently watched Nicky cave to his feelings and the pair have been keeping their blossoming romance going.

But during Monday night's edition of Emmerdale (April 3), after already being caught out by Caleb Milligan, Gabby and Nicky decided to come clean to Kim Tate as well as her mum Bernice Blackstock and former step-mum Laurel Thomas.

Kim wasn't impressed and wasn't long before she was instructing that his working contract with them be terminated. Gabby desperately tried to get Kim to see things differently and it wasn't long before Nicky spoke out in defence of his relationship with Gabby and declared his love for her. During Tuesday night's episode of Emmerdale (April 4), Kim expressed her concerns that Nicky was just out for Gabby's money.
