Initially arriving on our screens in an unexpected prison visit while his brother, fan favourite Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was awaiting trial for the murder of Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), it was revealed to viewers at home that Caleb was Faith Dingle's son.
Yet despite his explanation that he was there to grieve for his departed mum, many viewers at home were convinced that Caleb had something more to hide.
One popular theory was that Caleb was actually a police officer hoping to gather dirt on the Dingles - but in Thursday night’s instalment of the ITV soap, viewers at home learnt that this was not the case, and Caleb Dingle was in fact the son of former Home Farm owner Frank Tate!
