Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), also known by her nickname J.Lo, is an American actress, singer, dancer, fashion designer, producer and businesswoman. In 1991, Lopez began appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993. For her first leading role in the 1997 Selena biopic of the same name, Lopez received a Golden Globe nomination and became the first Latin actress to earn over US$1 million for a film. She went on to star in Anaconda (1997) and Out of Sight (1998), later establishing herself as the highest-paid Latin actress in Hollywood.

Intuit Dome Debuts As Newest L.A. Arena, But Not Without Some Problems

The state of the art Intuit Dome opened its doors for the first time last night in Inglewood, California. But the hi-tech equipment proved balky in its first live test.

Grammy winner Bruno Mars was the attraction on opening night at the venue, set for the first of two concerts. While Mars was to take the stage at 8 p.m., the show was delayed to just before 10 p.m.

after thousands of people were kept waiting outside. The arena, which cost an estimated $2 billion to construct, was funded by Microsoft CEO and current Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.

Which made the technical issues all the more surprising. The venue’s entry-by-smartphone and opt-in facial-recognition systems weren’t working, which caused an entry bottleneck and forced staff to inspect digital tickets one by one.
