Man rushed to hospital after 'targeted' stabbing

A man has been rushed to hospital after a 'targeted' stabbing in Stockport on Saturday. Emergency services were scrambled to Dairyground Road at around 5pm on September 7 following reports that a male had been assaulted.

A 27-year-old man was rushed to hospital after suffering stab wounds. Police have described his injuries as 'not life-threatening' and reassured the community the attack was understood to be 'isolated' and 'targeted'. Officers are now appealing for more information to assist their ongoing investigation. In a statement, the force said: "At around 5pm on Saturday 7 September, officers attended Dairyground Road in Stockport following reports a male had been assaulted. "On arrival officers discovered a 27-year-old male who had suffered stab wounds, and who was subsequently taken to hospital.
