Older people no longer due Winter Fuel Payment can boost annual income by up to £9,544
Around 10 million people over State Pension age are set to miss out on Winter Fuel Payments after Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced last week that the annual one-off payment, worth between £100 and £300, will only be provided to those over 66 in receipt of an income-related benefit such as Pension Credit. However, while the loss of this extra financial help will be felt by so many households this winter, many may not be aware they could be eligible for two separate benefits , worth a combined total of up to £9,54 each year.
