Canadian rapper Drake’s home was at the heart of a shooting disturbance on Tuesday morning (May 7) when his multi-million pound mansion was reportedly ‘swarmed by cops’ after a man was shot during a ‘drive by shooting.’ A large police presence was spotted near the rapper’s home in the upscale Bridle Path neighbourhood of Toronto, following reports of a shooting in the early hours of Tuesday morning.The incident took place at around 2am local time (7am in BST), with officers heading to the scene shortly afterwards, where they remained visible outside the residence of rap artist.

According to reports, the man was injured during the shooting and while his injuries are serious they are not thought to be life threatening.Toronto Police Insp.

Paul Krawczyk, of the Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force, said the victim is in “serious condition.” According to witnesses, the victim was shot ‘multiple times’ in a ‘drive-by shooting’ reports the Toronto Sun.

However the Toronto PD have yet to confirm this. Following the shooting, the victim, who is believed to be a 48 year old man, was transported to Sunnybrook Hospital for emergency surgery.The police have also stated that the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle.
