Former Manchester City financial advisor Stefan Borson has issued a stark warning to his previous club, stating that the allegations they face from the Premier League are of the utmost severity.

In February 2023, City found themselves at the centre of controversy with an unprecedented 115 charges of breaching the Premier League's Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules, levelled against them.

These accusations stretch back to 2009, claiming that the club provided misleading financial details to the league, including regarding payments to players and managers.

Additionally, the club is accused of not cooperating with the Premier League's investigation from 2018 to 2023. While City has consistently denied any misconduct, they have yet been able to present their defence due to delays in initiating the hearing process.
