Heartbroken mum pays tribute to 'kindest' son killed with father in Turkey crash

A heartbroken mother of a young boy that was killed with his father in a road accident on holiday in Turkey has paid tribute to her "kind" son.

Dylan Fitzpatrick, 10, and his 36-year-old dad, Eoin, died when the moped they were driving was struck by a bus at around 3.30pm on Monday, July 17.

The driver of the bus later arrested. Claire Dowling fought the back tears as she told The Irish Mirror of how the accident took place just hours before the family were due to end their holiday and fly back home to Portlaoise in County Laois, Ireland, on Tuesday morning.

Ms Dowling flew straight to Turkey to be with her eldest son, Cian, 14, who was holidaying with his younger brother and father, his partner and her kids when the tragedy happened in the resort of Alanya.Cian did not witness the horror accident as he was with Eoin's partner and kids at the time.Ms Dowling said she still did not know exactly what had happened."I haven't even gotten to Turkey to see my boy or his father.
