The royal family are reportedly hoping for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be successful in Hollywood, but one PR expert claims it may be a "passive aggressive" move. The Sussexes are said to have now entered the next phase of their Netflix deal and have reportedly purchased the film rights for romance novel Meet Me at the Lake, which they are turning into their first film adaptation for the streaming giant.Meanwhile the royals are said to be wishing that the couple can turn the bestselling book into a Hollywood hit, the Mirror reports. However, expert Matt Yanofsky believes there could be a "passive aggressive" motive behind the apparent support. He warned that they must just be trying to show how Meghan and Harry are "struggling" without them.Speaking to The Mirror, the PR expert and The Moment Lab founder said: "Without knowing the royals, it's impossible to know their motivation. "However, 'wishing Meghan the best' is the most passive aggressive public relations speak I've ever read.
It sounds like solely PR." During their previous work with Netflix, the Sussexes opened up about their experiences in the Firm and Meghan candidly spoke about her mental health struggles in their docuseries.
Harry also detailed the deterioration of his relationship with his older brother Prince William. The Duke of Sussex alleged that the future King had left him terrified after he "screamed and shouted" at him during the Sandringham summit. He went on to claim that Kensington Palace had "lied to protect my brother" before taking aim at his father, King Charles, as he discussed the tense Mexgit crisis meeting held with the Queen in January 2020.
