Gemma Atkinson has shared why her young daughter thinks her dad is 'in the moon' as she opened up about grief. The Hits Radio host released the latest episode of her podcast, The Overshare with Gemma Atkinson, and it was all about suffering loss which she is very familiar with.

Bury-born Gemma has previously shared how David tragically died in 2002 when she was 17 years old. She told how her dad's colleague found him hunched over his desk, struggling to breathe or move, as he was having a heart attack.

Within a few days, they were told her dad was OK and put it down to stress and told him to slow down. But tragically, as the family prepared for him to come, the hospital called and said David had a massive heart attack in his sleep and passed away.

Sharing a video clip from the recording of her podcast on grief, Gemma was heard speaking about her grandmother's reaction to the heartbreaking death of her son.
