Police say an aid worker whose body was discovered in Ukraine was murdered while working in the war-torn country. Former paratrooper Daniel Burke, from Wythenshawe, disappeared from the Zaporizhzhia region in August.

He had been providing aid and rescuing injured soldiers. At the time his family were told by Ukrainian police that officers searched Daniel’s apartment and found it empty with no signs of a break-in and the door triple locked. READ MORE: A Wythenshawe man has mysteriously vanished in Ukraine.
