BBC Bafta TV Award viewers 'ball eyes out' as In Memoriam section remembers those we've lost

It was a star-studded night in the capital as the stars of the small screen united in force as they headed to London's Royal Festival Hall to celebrate the best in TV from the past 12 months on Sunday (May 12) in a glamourous ceremony.
As the prestigious event began, actors and reality stars made their way down the carpet ahead of the award ceremony, posing for the camera under the Southbank's glistening sun and the event also saw Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan return as the hosts for the evening. But as many celebrated their wins, there was the emotional inclusion of the In Memoriam segment which included tributes to talk show host Sir Michael Parkinson, Strictly Come Dancing professional Robin Windsor, journalist Emily Morgan, Line Of Duty’s Brian McCardie, Dad’s Army star Ian Lavender, Lord Of The Rings actor Bernard Hill, newsreader George Alagiah and Hairy Biker Dave Myers.
