Alex Yee secured a gold medal for Team GB with a stunning finish in the men's triathlon final on the fifth day of the Paris Olympics.

Yee dug deep to secure first place after overtaking front runner Hayden Wilde with just seconds to go. Yee worked hard to cut down a 15 second lead that the New Zealander had amassed to win a gold medal with an incredible photo finish in the last 100m of the race.

Yee's win made it five gold medals for Team GB and 16th overall placing them fourth in the medals table behind China, Japan and France.
