Many households will find it a regular occurrence to wake up in the morning and find the windows covered in condensation. This happens more often in the autumn and winter months as the outdoor air is colder, making the window glass cold, and the warm air from the inside of the room turns into water when it hits the glass.Improving the ventilation in your home is one way to reduce the problem.

But if you don't fancy leaving your windows open when it's getting chilly outside, one woman has suggested a totally free hack that can also apparently help the issue. The hack was shared in a TikTok video posted by Purdy and Figg, a cleaning product company that often posts helpful tips on how to tackle difficult jobs around the home.

The account has amassed a following of over 310.5K, with their videos proving very popular with cleaning fans - often getting millions of views. One recent video was all about the problem of condensation on windows, which the woman explained in the video was caused by: "the moisture in the air finding the coldest part of the room."Sure enough, the clip showed the woman pulling up her blinds in the morning to find the window dripping in condensation - but she was quick to suggest a few hacks that can help to banish it.

The first one is simply by slightly changing the time that you hang your clothes up to dry at home, whether that's on a heated airer or a regular one.
