In 2006, singer Sandi Thom shot to stardom with her hit song, I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair), dreaming about rocking out with flowers adorning her hair.
Fast-forward 18 years and she appears as youthful as ever, holding onto the revolutionary spirit we first fell in love with back then. The Scottish star was a sensation in the mid-2000s thanks to her foot-tapping melody, which managed to reach the coveted number one spot on the UK charts.
She started out streaming via MySpace, putting on gigs right from her London flat, before being scooped up by RCA Records, after which she wowed on the music charts.
Sandi even managed to topple Gnarls Barkley's iconic Crazy from its pole position on the UK Top 40. Her hit song I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker also made waves internationally and was the best-selling single of 2006 in Australia.
