A dad lay dead at an Asda store for three days before his body was found, an inquest has heard.Phillip Huntley, 55, was discovered dead by a colleague at the Bodmin store in Cornwall earlier this year.

Police were called to the supermarket at 1pm on Thursday, May 4 to reports of concern for the welfare of a man.Shoppers were told to immediately leave as the store was evacuated and shut down for one day.

Police confirmed at the time the death was not being treated as suspicious.A probe held to establish the circumstances surrounding the father's death heard how he had a long history of depression and anxiety which he had actively sought help for and was waiting on a further appointment at the time of his death.

The inquest heard how Phil had been an employee of Asda for around 17 years with colleagues describing him as "more introverted" and "quiet" in recent years since a relationship breakdown.Colleagues said in statements that Phil would work from 3am to 11am.
