Wishaw boss David Dunn admits he needs a few more signings this summer after losing key strikers Kieran Brannan and Harry Kent to a rival club.The West of Scotland Second Division side started back pre-season training last week and Dunn is piecing together his squad for the forthcoming campaign, just a few weeks after the curtain fell on the 2022/23 season.The departure of a key duo, who scored plenty of goals between them last season, is a big blow for Dunn – who didn’t wish to disclose where the players were heading – but he says the wheels are in motion to bring in replacements.He said: “We are disappointed to lose some big players, but we know if boys do well for us they will move on.“I still believe there’s a lot more in Kieran’s locker.

He didn’t have the best season last year and I was trying to convince him to do another year with us, but I think he fancies a change and wants to play at a higher level.“He’s a great boy, never misses training, and we did everything we could to keep him, but both he and Harry are away to one of our rivals.“It’s not the first time it’s happened either, but that’s football.“The nucleus of the squad is good.
