The Chase’s Jenny Ryan in stark warning to GMB viewers after terrifying robbery at her home
ok.co.ukThe Chase star Jenny Ryan, also known as The Vixen, has recounted the time she was shockingly robbed at her home. Jenny was on Good Morning Britain to discuss her new role in a cabaret show when the interview took a turn.
She updated presenters Ranvir Singh and Ed Balls about the "robbery scam" she experienced in April of this year. Jenny explained she had a knock on the door from a workman, who said there was a leak in the flat upstairs and he needed to take some photos.The star then revealed: "He didn't just take some photos, he took my phone and some jewellery that was irreplaceable.
It was made for me as a gift by my mum and step dad." The ITV star then issued a warning to GMB viewers and continued: "It was a moment of losing concentration, of probably being too polite, of not wanting to say 'no let me see your ID, wait there.' Jenny went on to say people should be wary if anything ‘seems out of the ordinary’ in order to protect themselves She also encouraged the public to be ‘impolite’ and ‘just say no’ in these kind of situations.
Sadly, Jenny didn’t realise she’d been robbed until he was ‘out the door’ with her belongings. Jenny said it is a "really clever bit of scam" as the criminal had at first left the bedroom door open, showing the phone perched on the sheets, before shutting it and taking it.
