Teen stabbed love rival with flick knife after 'step mum' row between girlfriends

A jealous teenager stabbed a love rival after an argument broke out between their two girlfriends. Dad-of-one Lewis Jones left victim Jamie Davies with three wounds that required surgery after stabbing him with a flick knife outside his home.A court heard the 18-year-old had a young child with former partner Emily Weaver, who was now dating the victim.

A row broke out when Jones’ new girlfriend, Poppy Foley, sent a text message to Miss Weaver saying she was going to be the baby’s “new stepmother”.Cardiff Crown Court heard Jones was showing off a flick knife and threatened: "I am not scared to use it." The argument escalated outside Jones' family home in Brynmenyn, Bridgend, with Mr Davies pushing the defendant's mum.Prosecutor James Evans said: "At this stage the defendant, in what the prosecution say was a cowardly attack, stabbed Mr Davies on three occasions from behind.

He didn't initially realise he had been stabbed and was held against a wall."Ms Weaver first noticed he was bleeding heavily and then realised that he had been stabbed." The police were called and Jones fled.
