Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Rippon has been left 'shattered' after the demands of the show rehearsals. The oldest ever contestant has admitted to fans she's struggling with the 'physical contortions' her dance for Saturday's second live show requires. The 78-year-old was a ballroom sensation last weekend, as she made her debut on the BBC show alongside dancing pro Kai Widdrington, reports the Chronicle Live.In the days prior to her cha cha cha to Shirley Bassey's Get the Party Started, Angela had admitted, in a tell-all Instagram video, that she had been left 'angry' with herself in rehearsals, having struggled to pick up some of the steps. However, any nerves she had seemed to vanish on Saturday when the Rip Off Britain host and Christmas special winner Kai, dazzled audiences with their performance. This week, there's a huge change of tempo for Anegal and Kai with them going from the cha cha cha to the foxtrot as they prepare to dance to Frank Sinatra classic You Make Me Feel So Young on Saturday night.

The pair hope to avoid the first dance-off of the new series.Away from the dance studio, Angela and Kai headed to Kew Gardens on Wednesday, to film for a Strictly VT and, after returning to training, Kai posted a video to Instagram in which, after asking Angela how she was feeling, she replied: "Shattered.

I ache, everywhere. This is a beautiful dance when it's done properly, but you wouldn't believe the physical contortions you have to do!"Following her routine last Saturday, Angela was hailed an 'inspiration' by many viewers, as her odds on winning the show this year were cut.
