It’s official – the Stranger Things world is getting bigger with an animated series treatment in the works.
According to Deadline, the still untitled show has been greenlit at Netflix, as its being developed by Flying Bark Productions and executive producer Eric Robles. Keep reading to find out more… It’s still unknown what the animated series would be about, or if any original cast members would return to provide the voices of their characters, should they be featured in the show. “We’ve always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving, and to see this dream realized has been absolutely thrilling,” creators Matt and Ross Duffer shared in a statement about the news.
They added, “We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with — the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you!
The adventure continues.” Stranger Things is set to start filming its fifth and final live-action season this summer. Just recently, this popular theory about Millie Bobby Brown and the Stranger Things franchise was debunked.
