An Ayrshire hotel will put on a unique Burns night with two star chefs set to put their own twist on tradition. The Marine in Troon will put on a culinary masterclass to honour the national bard on Wednesday, January 25.
The hotel's plush diner, The Rabbit will see two top class chefs on the pass. Former MasterChef Professionals champion Derek Johnstone will work alongside well known senior sous-chef and Masterchef Professionals finalist Sagar Massey.
Derek was crowned the first ever winner of MasterChef: The Professionals in 2008 and is now the Executive Chef for Marine & Lawn Hotels, which includes the Marine Troon and Rusacks in St Andrews.
Derek will join Sagar, who has created a menu which sees Scottish classics infused with Indian flavours. Bosses at The Rabbit have promised a "one-of-a-kind experience" with the two chefs sharing the kitchen for one night only.
