Safiyya Vorajee and Ashley Cain pay tribute to late daughter Azaylia

 was diagnosed with with acute myeloid leukemia at eight-weeks-old and had tumours on her lungs, stomach and kidneys. She was given several rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant at Birmingham Children's Hospital but sadly died on April 24, 2021 when she was just eight-months-old, following a courageous battle.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Safiyya, 35, shared photographs and penned a heartbreaking note to Azaylia, while Ashley, 32, posted his tribute on Monday evening.

The former couple also revealed that they had spent the anniversary accepting an award from Birmingham Children's Hospital, for the work they continue to do with The Azaylia Foundation.

Safiyya penned: '2 years today Azaylia. My beautiful daughter Azaylia. My heart pounds with pain everyday with the loss of not having you here on earth,'My body aches, to hold you in my arms and kiss that little button nose of yours & to see you smile you made me so complete. 'You have taught Mummy, daddy the family & community so much. 'Azaylia you are our hero our inspiration & we promise we will continue your legacy in making changes for children fighting childhood cancer. 'Thankyou for making me the woman I am today, I will keep doing my best to make you proud up there. 'Azaylia's dad Ashley commented: 'Beautiful, strong, courageous and so special.
