Jonnie Irwin 'removes himself' from family home to stay in hospice amid cancer battle

Jonnie Irwin revealed he has to “remove himself” from his family home and spends time in a hospice as he copes with terminal cancer.

The popular A Place In The Sun presenter, 49, was initially given only six months to live when first diagnosed with stage four lung cancer in 2020.

But he has outlived doctor’s predictions with the help of medication, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He shared how he recently travelled overseas for treatment but the medical procedure caused irreversible damage to his liver.

And Jonnie, who last year announced he did not know how long he had left to live after the cancer spread to his brain, has this week discussed how is yet to tell his three young children about his terminal cancer diagnosis as it would "confuse" them.
