The Times has reported that the Earl has hired famed divorce attorney Fiona Shackleton to represent him. Shackleton is the same lawyer King Charles used back when he and Princess Diana divorced in 1992. Shackleton also represented Prince Andrew in his divorce from Sarah Ferguson.
The Earl is also father to Lady Kitty Spencer, Lady Eliza Spencer, Lady Amelia Spencer and Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp (all with his first wife Victoria Lockwood) and the Honorable Edmund Spencer and Lady Lara Spencer (with his second wife Caroline Freud.)
