Jessica Plummer, renowned for her role as Filomena in The Decameron, has swapped the ins and outs of EastEnders for the Black Death in Netflix's recent medieval comedy.

The actress had previously captivated audiences with her spellbinding performance as Chantelle Atkins in the distinguished BBC soap, but she now embraces a character vastly contrasting in the uproarious fresh drama set seven centuries back.

During their stay, Filomena anticipates luring a wealthy suitor to secure her destiny, however, the celebration takes an unforeseen turn, spiralling into disarray, leading to Filomena being deprived of her title owing to a startling case of identity confusion.
