Prince George and Princess Charlotte enjoyed a day out at Centre Court yesterday for the men's Wimbledon final with their parents William and Kate, but the youngsters appeared to break one Wimbledon rule in the process.
The two young royals watched on as Carlos Alcaraz took on Novak Djokovic in an incredible final. However, they weren't supposed to be present and many tennis fans at home were quick to pick up on this fact at home, writes The Mirror.
Children are allowed to attend the 'showcourts' provided they stay quiet, but they are usually banned from the Royal Box.The no children rule is a firm one, and has always been in place, but it seems that for the last few years, an exception has been made for the royals.
However, five-year-old Prince Louis didn't join his siblings, which Kate said he was not at all pleased about, as the family enjoyed the day out.Speaking to Ella Ottaway, Children, Young People and Families Coordinator at Wimbledon, their mother Kate said: “It’s Charlotte’s first time, George came last year.“They’ve been eagerly watching.
